Sheffield Week of Play 2025 is here!
Play is powerful — it helps children grow, connect, and thrive. This year, we’re celebrating play in all its forms across our amazing city with Sheffield Week of Play 2025!
Sheffield’s community play projects have something to offer school age children all year round, and October half term is no different. From creative crafts to outdoor adventures, energetic games to imaginative exploration and opportunities for children, families and communities to come together— Sheffield’s play projects aim to offer enriching and connecting experiences for children in their local communities and neighbourhoods.
This October half term Sheffield Play Partnership has been able to offer some small grants of £200 to help enrich what these fabulous play projects have to offer.
MASKK – provides a range of activities for children and families in the Manor and Castle area
Valley Youth Hub – fun, friendship, and youth-led energy in Gleadless Valley
Adventures Playground – outdoor play and exploration for all in Sharrow
Pitsmoor Adventure Playground – active play and imagination in action in Burngreave
Hackenthorpe Youth Club – safe, welcoming spaces for young people to play and belong
Hi5s Club – inclusive play and positive experiences for children with additional needs in Hackenthorpe
Happy Saplings – play and discovery for our youngest explorers, as well as community events for older ones in Gleadless Valley
Sheffield is a-buzz with play — in parks, playgrounds, and community spaces across the city. Because every child deserves time, space, and freedom to play.
