Play Streets
A play street, also known as ‘playing out’ is a short, resident-led road closure to simply allow children to play out freely on their own street, and for neighbours to meet. Find out more about how we can help you to make this happen.
Local Area Development - Gleadless Valley
Over the past couple of years, we have been supporting residents of Gleadless Valley to build their play capacity for school aged children. Through collaboration with residents, the council, and other local stakeholders, we are identifying barriers to play and developing strategies to overcome these challenges.
Children's Voice
One of our Core Partners, MASKK, recently led a play‑based consultation with children and young people, focusing on the needs and preferences of children and young people with SEND in health settings. Using playful, child‑friendly methods ensured participation felt safe, familiar, and fun—so children could express what matters to them in ways that work for them.
Places to Play - Collaborative Digital Map
As part of our work with the East LAC, we have put together a map of places to play across Sheffield. This includes adventure playgrounds, parks, green spaces, community projects, playgrounds, and more! This map is just the start and you can also help us to continue to develop this map by sending in your submissions.
