We have moved!

We are now based at Gleadless Valley Methodist Church, Blackstock Rd, S14 1FX, the new home of the now multi-award winning Valley Youth Hub!

We’re delighted to be working in the same place as Emma and the Valley Youth Hub team, as well as being closer to the various projects we are involved in on the valley, such as our monthly Gleadless Valley Play meetings and community Playing Out initiatives.

As part of the move into the new base, Valley Youth Hub will be hosting a grand opening on 26th September 12 till 3 (see poster below). Come along and take look at the new space dedicated to children and young people in Gleadless Valley.

Our Work in Gleadless Valley

Across the last 2 years, we have been working with local residents and organisations in Gleadless Valley to support the development of play provision for all ages, with a particular focus on 5–13-year-olds. Gleadless Valley is currently undergoing redevelopment, presenting a real opportunity for a range of formal and informal play spaces and activities to be embedded within the community. A range of play activities take place across the different areas of the estate and these are led by community members who are passionate about play. Our work is informed by the needs, priorities and ambitions of residents in Gleadless Valley. 

With Sheffield Play Partnership now embedded in the area, we are looking forward to moving conversations forward, developing a vision for children and young people’s voice to be embedded into decision making for regeneration in the area and making better use of underused and unused sites across the Valley for play. This will be on our core aims for the next year to develop this further.
