The Raising the Nation National Play Commission was a year long independent inquiry into the importance of play for children and young people, that looked at what impact a new national play strategy could have.
The commission report was presented to Parliament on International Play Day, and was supported by a playful gathering of children from some of London’s adventure playgrounds, supported by London Play.
You can read the report and see the recommendations here.
Sheffield Play Partnership hopes that the recommendations of this report to take children’s rights and children’s play seriously are adopted.
