Play Sufficiency in Sheffield

One of our key goals for this year is to get Sheffield ready for the Play Sufficiency Duty. You can find out more about the Play Sufficiency Duty from Play England, Play Wales, and Child Friendly Leeds.

We are looking to build on our links with colleagues in Leeds as well as Play England, Play Wales and Play Scotland to increase our knowledge base around the practicalities of rolling out Play Sufficiency Surveys.

We are planning to design and test surveys in target areas including Sharrow, Pitsmoor, Gleadless Valley and Hackenthorpe. We are also actively working with academic Christina Tatham of University of Sheffield to document learning as we go and publish a paper, to build a clear understanding of how the Play Sufficiency Duty could be rolled out in Sheffield and add to the national knowledge base.
